The # 2 boiler of Huangjinbu Power Plant is a SG1913/25.40-M966 type, supercritical parameter variable pressure operation spiral tube coil direct current furnace manufactured by Shanghai Boiler Factory. It has a single furnace, one intermediate reheating, adopts a four corner tangential combustion method, balanced ventilation, solid slag discharge, all steel suspension structure, and is an open-pit coal-fired boiler# Two units were connected to the grid for power generation in July 2007, with a capacity of 650MW. The power plant decided to conduct a pipe cutting sampling during the major overhaul in December 2016, using a pickling process of hydroxyacetic acid and formic acid. The metal surface after chemical cleaning is clean, without residual scale, oxides, and welding slag, without over washing or copper plating, with an average corrosion rate of less than or equal to 5.2g/(m2 · h) and a descaling rate of not less than 96%. After cleaning, the unit has been running for 6 months. According to the comparison of data before and after cleaning, the coal consumption of the unit has significantly decreased, and the power generation efficiency has been significantly improved. It can save millions of yuan in coal value for the power plant every year. The leaders at all levels of the power plant have affirmed and praised our work.
