Chairman Tian Mingge attends the Confucius Memorial Ceremony in the Year of Wuxu

September 28th is the 2569th anniversary of the birth of Confucius, a great ancient Chinese philosopher, educator, and founder of the Confucian school. In the morning, the Confucian Temple in Qufu was filled with solemn and solemn music, and the grand ceremony of the Wuxu year's public worship of Confucius was held here.

Pei Boyong, an official of the UNESCO Representative Office in China, and Cui Ying, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese National Committee for UNESCO, respectfully presented flower baskets. Representatives of the 13th UNESCO Confucius Education Award winning organizations, representatives of international friendly cities, representatives of Confucian institutions and experts, representatives of the 2018 Confucian Business Conference guests' trip to the Eastern Holy City, representatives of international friends, representatives of descendants of the Kong family, representatives from all walks of life, as well as representatives from Jining City and Qufu City, presented flower baskets. Leaders at all levels, including the National People's Congress, the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Congress, the Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference, the Jining Municipal Party Committee and the Qufu Municipal Party Committee and the People's Government, presented flower baskets. All guests wear special ribbons for the worship of Confucius, stand solemnly, tidy up their clothes and hats, and bow in front of the revered sage Confucius.

The Confucius Worship Ceremony is a large-scale temple dedicated to the worship of Confucius, featuring music and dance ceremonies such as opening the city, opening the temple, opening households, offering flower baskets, music and dance ceremonies, reading sacrificial texts, and bowing. Since the Qufu Public Sacrifice to Confucius in 2004, this is already the 15th time Confucius has been worshipped in 2018.
