The 8th Member Representative Conference and 2019 Academic Annual Meeting of Shandong Chemical and Chemical Society were successfully held

In order to promote exchanges and cooperation among experts in the field of chemistry in our province, the 8th Member Representative Conference and 2019 Academic Annual Meeting of Shandong Chemical and Chemical Society were held in Jinan on December 26. Zhang Bo, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, Ge Yuzhi, Minister of the Society Department, Feng Weichun, Chairman of the Society, Li Dejun, Yu Quande, Yang Chaohe, Yang Guipeng, Secretary General Liu Baosheng, and others attended the meeting. Our President Tian Mingge and Professor Yin Shumei, Director of the R&D Technology Center, were invited to attend the meeting.

On the morning of December 26th, the conference held its opening ceremony, which was presided over by Secretary General Liu Baosheng. Zhang Bo, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, congratulated the conference and delivered an important speech. Chairman Feng Weichun delivered a work report on behalf of the 7th Council, fully affirming the achievements of the society in the past five years. Chairman Feng Weichun also has earnest expectations for the new council, which can fully exert its enthusiasm, adopt a scientific and rigorous attitude, explore and innovate spirit, work diligently and steadfastly, actively carry out various tasks, and promote the development of the chemical and chemical industry in Shandong Province. Subsequently, the meeting reviewed the financial report of the seventh board of directors, draft amendments to the articles of association, and elected the eighth board of directors and the second board of supervisors.

On the afternoon of December 26th, Professor Sun Xiaoming from China University of Petroleum (East China), Professor Su Xianbin from Nanjing University of Technology, Associate Professor Li Lei from Nanjing University, and Professor Wu Yumin from Qingdao University of Science and Technology were invited to give keynote speeches at the annual meeting.
