The standard "Technical Regulations for Electrochemical Treatment of Circulating Cooling Water Side Flow" co authored by Sciengreen has been released

On November 16th,Sciengreen Company, as the drafting unit, officially released the group standard "Technical Regulations for Electrochemical Treatment of Circulating Cooling Water Side Flow" at the "2024 Industrial Water Conference and 44th Annual Meeting". The standard will be officially implemented on December 15th, 2024, with the standard number T/CIESC72-2024.

Circulating cooling water bypass electrochemical treatment technology uses electrochemical devices and supporting facilities to treat circulating cooling water in a bypass form. This technology applies current to the anode and cathode plates made of special materials, enabling the cathode to have descaling and the anode to have sterilization and algae killing functions. It can effectively solve the problems of scaling, corrosion, bacteria and algae in circulating water, achieve water conservation, emission reduction, energy saving and consumption reduction, and achieve high concentration or near zero emission operation of circulating water. 

This standard was proposed and managed by the Chinese Chemical Society, consisting of 9 chapters, including scope, normative references, terminology and definitions, system design, equipment and facilities, construction and installation, commissioning and acceptance, labor safety and occupational health, daily maintenance and operation management, etc. It provides comprehensive regulatory requirements for the design, construction, installation, commissioning, etc. of electrochemical equipment.

The release of this standard will play a significant role in regulating industry development, promoting technological progress, and improving product and service quality. It will also contribute to the application and promotion of electrochemical treatment technology for circulating cooling water in various fields.
