On the afternoon of July 18th,Scientific Green(shandong) Environmental Technology Co.Ltd. held the third postdoctoral innovation practice workstation opening report meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liu Baocheng, member of the Party Working Committee and Minister of Organization of Jining Economic Development Zone. Ren Xianmin, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of Jining Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, attended and delivered a speech. Leaders and experts including Kuang Shaoping, Dean of the Graduate School of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, Qin Feng, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Jining Economic Development Zone, Huang Cuixian, and Tian Mingge, President of Scientific Green(shandong) Environmental Technology Co.Ltd., attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Dr. Liu Shuai, jointly trained by sciengreen Company and Qingdao University of Science and Technology, gave a postdoctoral opening report entitled "Enrichment and Cultivation of Ammonia Oxidizing Archaea and Its Application in Deep Wastewater Treatment". The report elaborates on the enrichment and cultivation of ammonia oxidizing archaea, as well as their performance research status, technical routes, application prospects, and research methods in advanced wastewater treatment. Experts present at the conference, including Kuang Shaoping, Dean of Graduate School at Qingdao University of Science and Technology, Yin Shumei, Associate Professor Sun Liang, and Associate Professor Kang Yan, raised sufficient questions and inquiries about the necessity, innovation, research route, methods, and schedule of the research topic. They also provided valuable guidance on how to improve on-site research. After comprehensive evaluation by the members of the expert group, the expert group believes that Dr. Liu Shuai's proposed research on the enrichment and cultivation of ammonia oxidizing archaea and their application in wastewater deep treatment belongs to the forefront research field, with strong innovation and challenges. The implementation of the project has important theoretical significance and application potential for the degradation of ammonia nitrogen in water deep treatment. It is recommended to achieve breakthroughs in application as soon as possible based on mechanism research, in order to fill the gap in international water treatment research in this field. Finally, we unanimously approved the proposal of Dr. Liu Shuai and started corresponding postdoctoral research work at the station.
