The 5th Member Representative Conference of China Boiler and Boiler Water Treatment Association and the First Boiler Science and Technology Award Ceremony were successfully held

From August 11th to 13th, 2020, the 5th Member Representative Conference of China Boiler and Boiler Water Treatment Association, the 1st Boiler Science and Technology Award Ceremony, and the Boiler Technology Exchange Conference were successfully held in Suzhou. Zhang Hongwei, Deputy Director of the Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Guo Yuanliang, Chairman of the Fourth Council of the China Boiler and Boiler Water Treatment Association and Secretary and Vice President of the Party Committee of the China Special Equipment Testing and Research Institute, Feng Yimin, Chief Engineer of the Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, Li Jun, Vice President of the China Special Equipment Testing and Research Institute, Leng Hao, Director of the Boiler and Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Department of the Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Wang Donghua, Director of the Special Equipment Safety Supervision Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, Qiu Jiayou, Executive Director, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Boiler Factory Co., Ltd., Tian Mingge, Chairman of Scientific Green(shandong) Environmental Technology Co.Ltd., and more than 300 member representatives were invited to attend.

The meeting elected the fifth council and supervisory board of the association. Comrade Qiu Jiayou, Executive Director, General Manager, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Boiler Factory Co., Ltd., was elected as the Chairman of the 5th Council of the Association, and Ms. Wang Jiaoling from China Special Equipment Testing and Research Institute was elected as the Secretary General of the Council. The meeting voted to approve four proposals, including revising the association's articles of association, establishing nine committees including the "Boiler Technology Committee", awarding Comrade Guo Yuanliang the title of "Chief Advisor" to the association, and awarding the "Outstanding Contribution Award" to three comrades including Hu Liyi. The first "Boiler Science and Technology Award" ceremony was held at the conference. The Boiler Science and Technology Award is a national social award registered and established by the National Science and Technology Awards Office.

The newly appointed Chairman, Comrade Qiu Jiayou, delivered a speech titled "Taking the Road of Innovation, Sharing, and Development, Striving to Promote China's Boiler and Water Treatment Industry to a New Level". The chairman pointed out that it is necessary to recognize the new situation, seize new opportunities, and meet new challenges. He conducted a profound analysis of the current situation and clarified the tasks of the association.
